Welcome, I’m Brian Brown a native of Houston, Texas. I am a graduate of Texas Southern University where I received a bachelor’s degree in Airway Science and a minor in Computer Science.
My passion for the Drill Team began when I was 11 years old under the direction of Brother Oscar Alexis (Former National Drill Team Coordinator for the National Baptist Sunday School and BTU Congress). Throughout my formative years, I participated as a Drill Team member. The Drill Team was a venue that allowed me to express my love for Christ, an opportunity to receive structure as a youth; to build character, and fellowship with my peers. Little did I know that the years I spent as a member of the Drill Team were preparing me to be the successor for Bro. Alexis. As I fondly look back on those years as a youth member of the Drill Team, I have now realized that I developed an array of skills necessary to lead Drill Teams through the next generation. I accepted the assignment to be the new National Coordinator of the Drill Team Ministry.

In my free time, I work with Drill Teams; as well as stay active in providing community service. I am a member of OBAP (Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals). Its mission is to enhance, advance, and promote educational opportunities in aviation/aerospace and to develop and sustain a process for the ongoing mentoring of our youth. I actively participate in university and school visits.
I have traveled all over the world as an Airline Pilot for the last 17 years. I am currently flying as a First Officer on the Boeing 787 based out of Chicago, Illinois, and have been most recently employed at United Airlines for the last 11 of those years.
I have achieved many proud accomplishments throughout my career. One of those accomplishments is mentoring young minds to do whatever it takes to achieve their life goals and become successful. I can honestly say I’m doing what I love by inspiring, embracing, and encouraging today’s youth.
Out of all my accomplishments, I am most proud of being a loving husband to my beautiful wife and father to two amazing children.
